Sales Assistant Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and serving clients in a kind and professional manner will demonstrate outstanding customer service.
- Respond to questions from clients about products, give advice, and make suggestions.
- Process payments, run cash registers or point-of-sale systems, and complete sales transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Organize item displays, replenish shelves, and make sure things are presented in an appealing way to preserve the store’s visual appeal.
- Support activities related to inventory management, such as receiving shipments, monitoring stock levels, and carrying out routine stocktakes.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the goods and services the shop offers in order to help clients and provide wise suggestions.
- Clean up displays, mop floors, and keep the store’s surroundings tidy to keep it clean and organized.
- Together with coworkers and management, work toward achieving performance objectives, sales targets, and contributing to the store’s overall success.
- Respect the company’s policies, procedures, and code of conduct, especially those that deal with safety, sales techniques, and customer service.
- Find ways to maximize sales chances by identifying opportunities to cross- or upsell items to consumers based on their requirements and preferences.
Person Specification
- Strong organisational skills; to effectively manage the administrative sales function across UK, Int.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills; to effectively work with various stakeholders at different level internally and externally.
- Advanced competency in Powerpoint and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage workload and work across multiple projects and deadlines.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
- Driven, resilient and a team player.
- Ability to forge strong relationships.
