You are a vital member of our sales team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), contributing significantly to our organization’s growth and income. In order to find and qualify leads, reach out to potential clients, and cultivate relationships that will eventually result in sales conversions, you will be responsible for a broad variety of duties.
Prospecting and lead creation are the main responsibilities you have. Through the use of many methods, including cold calling, email outreach, social media marketing, and networking events, you proactively locate possible clients who could profit from our offerings. To position our products as answers that meet decision-makers’ wants and goals, you must first engage decision-makers and learn about their needs and pain situations.
To make sure leads are qualified and ready to speak with our sales team, another duty of an Sales Development Representative is to qualify leads. You determine prospects’ level of interest, financial limitations, purchasing timeframe, and decision-making authority by asking thoughtful questions and paying attention to what they have to say. You may maximize our chances of success and optimize our resources by successfully qualifying leads, ensuring that our sales efforts are concentrated on prospects with the best potential for conversion.
Together with generating leads and qualifying them, you are essential in developing and maintaining relationships. As the prospect’s first point of contact, you educate, assist, and support them as they proceed through the purchasing process. Building rapport, trust, and credibility with prospects by constant communication and follow-up helps you position their success as a reliable partner and counselor to our firm.
Working together with our sales team, as an Sales Development Representative , you make it easier for qualifying leads to be transferred smoothly. We rely on you to give our sales reps the tools they need to effectively engage prospects and turn them into customers by providing insightful analysis, constructive criticism, and updates on prospect engagements.
You contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our sales procedures and tactics in addition to your fundamental duties. To improve our overall sales performance, you actively participate in sales meetings, brainstorming sessions, and training sessions by sharing best practices, spotting optimization possibilities, and bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Sales Development Representative Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads and prospects based on defined criteria.
- Profile assigned accounts and drive outbound prospecting to generate new business.
- Must call into senior IT management at Fortune 1000 as part of lead development and qualification. E.g. CTO, CIO, Directors of IT Operations, Directors of Infrastructure, Directors of Application support.
- Conduct research on accounts by using Google, LinkedIn, Jigsaw and other tools.
- Develop an understanding of the account’s business issues and other relevant information.
- Execute database and telemarketing programs to increase attendance at upcoming events, seminars, and to create awareness for current product promotions to target audiences.
- Educate prospects about Dynatrace enterprise solutions.
- Use CRM-Salesforce.com to track activities.
- Attend weekly territory forecast meetings and update team on progress of identified activities.
- Work to meet defined metrics goals.
- Provide input to marketing including feedback on quality of leads from marketing programs.
Minimum Requirements:
- College diploma/university degree required.
- Fluent understanding of Portuguese required.
Preferred Qualifications for Sales Development Representative
- Understanding of IT operations management solutions a plus.
- Experience using a CRM preferred, specifically Salesforce.com
- High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship build.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
Additional Information
- Candidates must be able to come into our Waltham office 3 days a week.
- The OTE salary range for this role is $90,000- $95,000. When determining your salary, we consider your experience, skills, education and work location.
